Designated Driver

Product description

Designated Driver

Overview

Hire a trained operator to run your boat for a day or evening. You handle the guest list. We handle the helm so that you can focus on friends and fun.

This is not a boat rental or charter. We operate your vessel.

Who it’s for

  • Lake days with friends and family

  • Parties and celebrations on the water

  • New or returning boat owners who want a stress‑free operation

  • Hosts who wish to relax and still get everyone home safely

What’s included

  • Professional designated boat driver

  • Pre‑departure safety check and float plan

  • Basic route planning based on time, weather, and goals

  • Smooth docking and maneuvering support throughout the trip

You provide

  • Your boat, fueled and in safe working order

  • Required PFDs and safety gear (horn/whistle, fire extinguisher, throw device, lights)

  • Legal capacity and weight limits observed

  • Ramp or dock access, lake entry, and parking fees

How it works

  1. Book your date, start time, lake, and pickup point.

  2. Meet at your dock, marina, or agreed-upon ramp. We verify safety gear and review a quick float plan.

  3. Ride. We operate your boat while you host. We manage speed, spacing, and navigation.

  4. Return. We assist with docking or loading your boat on the trailer if needed.

Pricing

  • $95/hour - 3, 4, or 5-hour options

  • Travel outside of Lake Granbury: Any lake within a 75-mile radius, $1/mile round trip

Policies

  • Cancellations: 48+ hours notice = full refund. Within 48 hours = reschedule or credit.

  • WeatherUnsafe conditions = pause or reschedule. If we cannot run, you get a refund.

  • Capacity: We follow your boat manufacturer’s limits.

Safety & Compliance

  • Service designed for inland lakes like Lake Granbury. We operate your vessel as your designated driver, not as a charter provider.

  • We avoid “captain” language unless a USCG license is held. Texas boater‑education rules apply to operators; our driver is trained and sober at all times.

  • You maintain your vessel’s registration, insurance, and required safety equipment.

FAQs

Do you bring a boat? No. We only operate your boat.

Can you teach docking? Light coaching is included while we operate. For dedicated training, we also offer boating lessons.

How many people can we bring? We follow your capacity plate and Texas rules.

Are kids allowed? Yes, with USCG‑approved life vests sized correctly. Parents/guardians are responsible for minors.

Can you tow tubers or boarders? Yes, only if conditions, gear, and crew allow. Spotter required—operator discretion.

What if my boat has issues at the ramp? We are happy to help as much as we can.

What about fuel? You fuel the boat before departure. We strongly encourage that your boat be in the water, fueled, and ready to go at the time of booking.

Tips? Optional and appreciated for excellent service.
