Return window

Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery for new, unused items in original, resalable packaging with all accessories, manuals, tags, and UPCs intact.

How to start a return

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping back to us.

To request an RMA, email info@keepcastingfishing.com with your order number, the item(s) you're returning, and the reason for return.

We'll issue your RMA number and provide the correct return address. Returns shipped without an RMA will be refused.

Return shipping requirements

Package items securely in their original packaging with all contents complete and undamaged.

Include the original invoice or packing slip inside the box.

Ship using a trackable, insured carrier. You are responsible for the item until we receive and inspect it.

Rods must be returned in a rigid tube to prevent damage during transit.

Serial numbers must match our records, and items cannot show signs of use.

What can't be returned

  • Opened media or software (e.g., mapped SD cards, downloaded charts)
  • Items marked Final Sale, Closeout, or custom/special orders
  • Used items showing wear, abuse, or missing parts
  • Installed or fueled products (e.g., mounted trolling motors) unless defective on arrival
  • Opened hazmat items (batteries, flammables, pressurized aerosols)—check product pages for specific restrictions
  • Gift cards

Defective, damaged on arrival (DOA), or our error

Report any defects, damage, or shipping errors within 7 days of delivery with photos.

We'll arrange repair, replacement, or refund according to the manufacturer's warranty policy.

If confirmed defective or incorrect handling, Keep Casting covers return shipping and provides a prepaid label—you won't pay a thing.

Change-of-mind returns

We understand plans change. You can return eligible items within 30 days, but please note:

Customer pays return shipping costs.

A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply to cover inspection, repackaging, and supplier fees.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable. If you received Free Shipping and your return drops the order below the free shipping threshold, we'll deduct our actual outbound shipping cost from your refund.

Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange an item is to purchase the replacement and return the original following this policy.

We only provide exchange labels when the error was on our end.

Manufacturer warranties

Many fishing and outdoor brands (especially rods, reels, and electronics) require warranty claims to go directly through the manufacturer.

We're happy to provide manufacturer contact information and guide you through the process.

The manufacturer determines warranty decisions, coverage, and timelines, not Keep Casting.

Refund timing

Please allow up to 10 business days after our returns center receives your package for inspection and processing.

Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Bank posting times vary by institution (typically 3–5 business days after we process).

Returning freight, oversize, and hazmat items

Items weighing 100+ lb, long rod tubes, large electronics, trolling motors, and batteries may require LTL freight or large-parcel return to specific receiving docks.

Freight return costs are significantly higher and will be deducted from your refund unless the item is DOA or we made an error.

Rods must be returned in a rigid tube. Damage caused by improper repackaging is not covered.

Hazmat items (batteries, aerosols) have special carrier requirements and may incur additional fees.

Wrong address or unclaimed packages

If your package is returned to us due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address, or if it goes unclaimed, you'll be responsible for reshipping charges.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable in these cases.

Refused deliveries may incur return freight charges and restocking fees.
